This privacy notice has been prepared to inform persons who use our website and contact us, pursuant to Article 10 of Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu, “KVKK”) and the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to Be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation to Inform.

4. Legal grounds
Your data is processed on the basis of the following grounds set out in Article 5(2) of the KVKK: processing being directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract, fulfilment of a legal obligation, the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, and the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that this does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject. For cases requiring explicit consent (for example, sending commercial electronic messages), your explicit consent is obtained separately.
5. Method of collection
Your data is collected by automated or partly non-automated means when you send us the quote list on our website via WhatsApp, and through correspondence conducted by e-mail, phone and WhatsApp. Before you send it, the quote list is kept only in your own browser and is not transmitted to us.
6. Transfer of data
Limited to the purposes stated above, your personal data may be shared with the relevant departments and branches within Gold Şemsiye, our business partners, our suppliers, hosting and infrastructure service providers and, where permitted by law, authorised public institutions and organisations, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK. Where the nature of your request so requires, such sharing may also extend to our branches and business partners abroad. When you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages are transmitted through the WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) infrastructure, whose servers are located abroad.
7. Retention period
Your data is retained for as long as required by the purpose of processing and for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation; once this period expires, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
8. Your rights under the KVKK
Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, as a data subject you have the following rights:
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed
- To request information about the processing, if your data has been processed
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose
- To know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom the data has been transferred
- To request the correction of incomplete or inaccurately processed data
- To request the deletion or destruction of the data under the conditions stipulated in the legislation
- To request that third parties to whom the data has been transferred be notified of any correction, deletion or destruction
- To object to any outcome to your detriment arising from the analysis of the processed data exclusively through automated systems
- To claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing
